Our Purpose

Mission Statement

The Australian Jewish Funders (AJF), dedicated to maintaining the continuity of Australian Jewry, is a forum for donor individuals, families, foundations and professionals to enhance the understanding and quality of philanthropy in the Australian Jewish community, Israel and the wider Australian society.

Objectives

• AJF members are committed to acquiring and updating an informed understanding of the philanthropic needs in the Australian Jewish community, Israel and the wider Australian society.
• AJF members, recognising the critical importance of the inter-generational transfer of wealth, are committed to promoting amongst a new generation of donors the importance of philanthropy in the Jewish tradition for the betterment of their own community and the wider Australian society.
• The AJF aims to provide a forum whereby members are exposed to diverse and alternative perspectives, co-funding opportunities, exchange of ideas, innovation, articles of interest, contacts, community building, support networks, special interest groups, a variety of resources and general learning.
• The AJF will provide an encouraging and educational environment for the presentation of ideas, projects and/or plans by invited parties.
• AJF members, collectively and individually, aim to develop and extend their relationships with the Jewish Funders Network (USA) and other Jewish donor networks.
• The AJF will welcome members from all over Australia.
